We also know that routine cleanings, flossing, sealants, and fluoride are all helpful in preventing dental disease.  Not only are we focused on the beauty of your smile, but we’re also concerned about your health.  A review of your medical history can help us stay informed of your overall health, any new medications, and any illnesses that may impact your dental health.

Uncompromising Safety

Infection control in our office is also very important to us.  To protect our patients and ourselves, we strictly maintain sterilization and cross contamination processes using standards recommended by the American Dental Association (ADA), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the Center for Disease Control (CDC).

DR. BRETT MELGOSA

Dentist

Dr. Brett B. Melgosa was born and raised in Merced, California.  Being the first in his immediate family to attend college, he received Bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration, Biological Science, and Chemistry from CSU Stanislaus in Turlock, CA.  He graduated among the top of his class in all fields.

After working 5 years as an Officer for the Merced County Probation Department, Dr. Melgosa pursued his interest in the health field.  He received his Doctorate in Dental Medicine from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, graduating with high honors (Magna Cum Laude).  Following graduation, he attended the prestigious California Implant Institute in San Diego, CA where he found a passion for implants.  Most recently he became the second youngest member in the history of the International Academy of Dental Implantology where he received his training from renowned Harvard Implantologist Dr. Sam Lee.

He specializes in all facets of dentistry including, but not limited to, implants, oral surgery, dentures, root canals, CAD-CAM dentistry, adult and children's dentistry, and TMJ therapy.  He is an ongoing member of the California Dental Association, American Dental Association, and the Stanislaus Dental Society.

For Dr. Melgosa, cosmetic, and family dentistry is both a passion and an art form.  He strives for perfection with each patient and focuses on designing restorations that look and feel natural.  He has made it a personal mission to create an environment that caters to “dental phobics”, or any apprehensive or fearful patient.

Outside of work, Dr. Melgosa dedicates himself to helping others with similar upbringings.  He takes great pride in motivating young minds that may limit their potential for success due to a negative environment.  His hobbies are riding motorcycles, working out, and spending time with friends and family.
